March 11, 2021 – The company ENVAL Laboratoire et Cabinet, one of the most important fields of activity of which is focused on physical-chemical and microbiological analyses in West Africa, has just joined the great family of the AfWA, through the propagation of the COVID-19.
The act of commitment as an affiliated member of the AfWA was initialed on March 10, 2021 by its Director General, Mr. Bakary Coulibaly.
ENVAL Laboratory is one of the most well-supplied private laboratories in West Africa for food, noise, water, foliar and oil, air and soil analysis. ENVAL Laboratory is accredited ISO 17025 since 2012 and accompanies actors such as: Carrefour, Nestlé, SODECI, Vitol Foundation, TOTAL, COLEACP, Partners in Food Solutions, ANTEAGROUP, LUKOIL, CITRANS, CIMAF, FOXTROT International, etc. in the analyses allowing them to certify the quality of their products.
In order to jointly identify areas of collaboration between AfriCap and ENVAL, Dr. Simeon Kenfack, AfriCap’s Director of Programs, and Mr. Gilles Djagoun, Senior Coordinator of the Water Program in charge of AfriCap, paid a working visit to ENVAL’s headquarters in Angré, Abidjan, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on March 10, 2021.
Under the facilitation of the section managers, the representatives of AfriCap visited successively the microbiology section, the heavy metals analysis section, the physical-chemical analysis section and the textile analysis section.
During the debriefing, the Director of Programs of the AfWA presented the Association (history, vision, mission, activities and comparative advantages), and expressed the wish that, in view of the potential and know-how of the ENVAL laboratory, the latter would agree to play the role of “Mentor” and adhere to the communities of practice set up by the Association.
Mr. Bakary Coulibaly, Director General of ENVAL, said he was honored by this request and gave a favorable opinion. He also promised to visit the premises of the Executive Direction of the AfWA in the coming days.
